I just reviewed the footage and am in awe that you were able to recover the reels to such an extent. The movies arrived yesterday. As Mr. Spock says…… interesting. I recognize things that I haven’t thought about in 60 years. The oldest reel was from 1942, which actually predates me by a few years.One thing that amazed me is that the colors in the color films looked pretty good. Color still pictures tend to fade with time, but that does not seem to be the case with these movies. Thank you very much for saving that stuff. The Blu Ray HD DVDs arrived yesterday and were watched last night. The quality was far beyond what we expected, and I can’t thank you enough for all your efforts in restoring a record of my wife’s childhood. Her folks have been gone for many years, but here they were in their prime, along with many relatives and friends.

I’ll be sharing copies with other family members, and I’ve given your contact information to our local photo shop as they occasionally get requests to convert film to Blu Ray HD 2K DVD … and they are limited to copying what exists, which they often can’t do owing to condition issues.

ANOTHER COMMENT FROM A REPEAT CUSTOMER…

To the Team at Teamwork Media Lab… wanted to share some wonderful recent events.

Most, if not all, of the films you recovered & scanned for me, were part of a deep history of the Peoria Motorcycle Club (PMC) of Peoria IL USA. My grandfather was a founding member back in the mid-1930s. Some of the films show said timeframe. Furthermore, there is a Harley Davidson Dealership that is Celebrating its 100th anniversary (Walters Harley Davidson). Some of the films your team converted showed the building of their first location.

All this said, I have turned over the films to PMC and Walters Harley Davidson and will be attending the celebrations in late August.

I have made sure to credit YOUR company with recovering this treasure trove of movie films. I will be strongly promoting what you have done!

And as it turns out, five of the films you recovered, restored & scanned in this last round was of them building their new store on Jefferson Street in Peoria, Ill in 1949!
I sent it to Bruce’s grandchildren and they were more than amazed. It is the ONLY movie film of the early business.

“The best part was watching our 87 year old mother smile and remember some of the good times”…

We were so impressed with the results of our first order from years ago which was to transfer old audio files from reel to reel tapes to a CD that we decided to have 5 reels of 8mm film and 12 VHS tapes transferred to DVDS and a thumb drive. Our old, poor quality home movies are now available on current technology that will preserve our family memories for us and future generations. On behalf of my family and myself, I want to convey our thanks and sincere appreciation for the marvelous work you did restoring the old 8mm home movie reel I sent you. I did not know exactly what was on the reel when I sent it to you, but it turned out to be a real family treasure, long-forgotten. A number of the scenes were shot before 1949 and captured my older brother and me at a very early age, as well as my parents in their prime years. It also contained excellent images of several relatives who are now long gone, including my father’s older brother who died unexpectedly in 1949. I’ve shared the digital file with my extended family and they are delighted to have it – a truly priceless heirloom that will be treasured for many generations.

Amazed at the clarity

I got my package last night and viewed the DVD. There were two things that really impressed me with your film transfer Recovery and Restoration technology. One was the sharpness. I did not expect my 8mm movie film would appear so sharp on the DVD. I was paying attention to letters on signs and was amazed at the clarity. The other was the lack of redness. I had assumed that some of my film had reddened. There were some segments where the color had faded but there was hardly any red shift. The final segment was shot in my home under artificial light after my family and I arrived home from vacation. Your transfer showed natural colors.

TMTV will be our producer of choice

… and I want you to know. After some weeks of unfortunate delay, then a freakish accident to my 96-year-old mother that left her in bruises and stitches, she finally (last weekend) saw your DVD-conversion of our family films. It could not have been better timed and more ‘therapeutic’! Funny, touching, and as clear as could be. I watched it all through with her, and then she watched it twice again. She loved it, and despite healing pretty darn’ well in general, showed an added burst of enthusiasm at seeing these special memories.

All around, it is also gratifying to know that the originals are preserved. They have historic family-value, whether or not they are ever handled again.

Our three sons plan to do the rest soon in two installments, and TMTV will be our producer of choice.

We spent all of last evening looking at old movies. The oldest was produced in 1956 and the last around 1970. Recently I sent nine 400′ reels and two 50′ reels for restoration and digital transfer. All was 16mm. After you shipped them back to me, you emailed and requested feedback, so here it is. FANTASTIC!!! The transfers and exposures were great. I was VERY pleased. These films were important to me since they were of family members shot over 60 years ago, in the early 1940’s. Seeing my 86 year old father leaving home to go off to war at age 22 was remarkable (and boy did Dad ever enjoy the films!!) Both of my paternal grandparents died before I was born, so these are the ONLY PICTURES I have ever seen of my grandparents. So, to say these films are important is an understatement. Again, thank you for the great job you did.
