Specialty Services; we provide many specialty services including Film Recovery & Restoration of damaged film and conversions/transfers/digitizing of obsolete old media such as… open reel format video tape, reel to reel audio tape, old types of Umatic 3/4″ and Betacam video tapes, Laserdisc video discs, PAL DVDs & videos, Micro & Mini audio cassette tapes, odd size photos & negatives, old types of data discs and Zip Drives and Floppy disc conversions and many other specialty services.
Three of our latest projects we have started in 2026 are for an archive museum in British Columbia who has old Betacam SP & Umatic 3/4″ tapes that were damaged by moisture and mould requiring Recovery, Restoration through our specialty processes & then further prep, cleaning & Digitizing.
Another project is for a university from Arkansas USA of a few reels of old damaged 16mm sound motion picture film with Vinegar Syndrome requiring major Recovery, Restoration, cleaning, prep and Scanning…
an third… a family audio project of 1/4″ and four track 1/2″ reel to reel tapes from their father who was a Vancouver BC musician and sound engineer.
These tapes required special attention and the Restoration processes to clean and make the tapes play properly and then re-mix and separate each tape and song after digitizing.
